Artist Film Screening and In Conversation with Shaun C. Badham and Jes Fernie

On Saturday 26th July, the first screening of my artist video A Journey of The Spaces In-Between, took place on Saturday 26th July. The video is a counterpart to a recent artist-led walk I held on the summer solstice, stopping to discuss twelve locations across the site.
Following the screening, I was joined by Jes Fernie for an in conversation exploring the themes of the video. Topics of discussion included perspectives on im/permanence, the role of public art, adaptable architecture, rights of way, what we can learn from animals as audiences and more.
Jes Fernie is a writer, curator, lecturer and mentor to many sculptors, as well as the creator of Archive of Destruction, documenting emotive encounters and significant shifts in public sculpture.
Together Shaun and Jes will draw on moments where their own paths have crossed, the journeys of discovery they have been on with their creative practices, and their explorations of socio-political and environmental narratives about art and our surroundings.
