Paper Stages is a festival of performance contained within the pages of a beautifully designed book, with each page containing a completely new work by a different artist.

Collectively, these artists invite you to perform their creations in various locations around the city, from side streets and parks to your own home.

You cannot buy Paper Stages; we ask only for you to spend one hour of your time doing something to help other people. You can get ideas and details of recommended activities from your nearest participating venue.

Paper Stages was conceived by Deborah Pearson and Andy Field for Forest Fringe. Created in partnership with Arnolfini, Battersea Arts Centre, Cambridge Junction, Fierce Festival, National Theatre Wales and Northern Stage. Published by Forest Fringe, Live Art UK and Live Art Development Agency in 2013.

Paper Stages was reviewed by Maggie Gray for This is Tomorrow. You can read the article here
